Ecopack publishes second Communication on Progress for UN Global Compact

Once again this year, we are pleased to announce the renewal of our support for the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact. Our ongoing efforts towards sustainability and corporate responsibility are highlighted in our public report, available on the Global Compact website, a tangible reflection of our dedication to a healthy and sustainable global economy.

Human Rights and Ethical Labour

In the field of human rights and ethical labour, Ecopack strongly adheres to Principle I, promoting and respecting universally recognised human rights in our spheres of influence. At the same time, we are committed to not being complicit in human rights abuses, upholding Principle II.

Our internal policies address these sensitive issues, clearly stating Ecopack’s position on practices that do not respect human rights, setting targets and tracking their achievement.

With regard to labour, we support the freedom of association of workers (Principle III) and recognise the right to collective bargaining (Principle IV). We oppose all forms of forced and compulsory labour (Principle V) and are dedicated to the elimination of child labour (Principle VI), underlining our mission to create an ethical and fair working environment.

Responsible Environment: Prevention and Promotion

In the environmental sector, Ecopack takes a preventive approach to environmental challenges (Principle VII). We promote environmental responsibility through concrete initiatives (Principle VIII) and encourage the development of environmentally friendly technologies (Principle IX). Our dedication to these practices reflects our commitment to a sustainable future.

Our papers are sourced from FSC-certified forests, and we invest annually in researching and developing new, more sustainable solutions in every aspect of our business: in the reporting year, we created a corporate forest, which has since expanded, as a gift to our customers and employees.

Fighting Corruption: Transparency and Integrity

Finally, in combating corruption, Ecopack is committed to acting against all forms of bribery and corruption, including extortion and bribes (Principle X). Transparency and integrity are at the core of our values, contributing to an ethical and responsible business environment.
