The products tested comply with the EN 13432 standard, which establishes the characteristics that a packaging must possess in order to be defined as biodegradable and compostable.

Ecopack has two certifications: OK COMPOST INDUSTRIAL for baking moulds, namely Panettone Alto and Basso, Colomba, Tart and Special Shapes, and OK COMPOST HOME for paper cups, Tulip and Lotus.

OK COMPOST INDUSTRIAL and HOME: what are the differences?

OK Compost INDUSTRIAL certified products may only be composted in industrial composting plants (at standard temperatures and humidity). These products must not be used in garden composting.

OK Compost HOME on the other hand, refers to products that can also be composted at low temperatures, so that they can also be disposed of in your own garden at the compost heap.
